Banksia menziesii is a decorative tree with thick, woolly branches and serrated, dark green leaves. Produces a profusion of acorn-shaped red flowers during autumn and winter. Ideal as a feature tree, in parks or a specimen tree. The flowers are bird attracting and can be cut for a floral arrangement. Thrives in any well drained soil in full sun or part shade position, tolerating extended dry periods and frost, when established. Prune after flowering to promote new growth. Banksia menziesii can grow up to 7m high and 3m wide.
