Viola hereracea is an attractive sprawling plant with green rounded leaves and small mauve, white and violet flowers which appear throughout the year but mainly spring and summer. Viola Hederacea is a fast growing, low maintenance plant ideal for a flat ground cover or a lawn substitute for shady areas, containers and hanging baskets. It tolerates a shady to partly shaded position and moist well drained soil. Viola Hederacea grows to a height of 10cm with a spread of 0.5 - 1m wide. Flowers are often intended only as a garnish, and should not be eaten in excess.
